BIO
Liberally adapted from the Official siteBisca's and 99 Posse's collaboration started in 1992 with the recording of the song "Sotto attacco dell idioziá" (with Almamegretta) and ended in 1995 with release of the CD Guai a chi ci tocca.
Bisca had been active since the early 1980s when it experimented with rock; 99 Posse was born out of the Neapolitan centri sociali scene. With two different stories and two heterogeneous styles, the groups joined forces with the common understanding that "there can't be communication without reciprocity" and that "the best style is having something to say." The result is a mixture of music, words, sounds which shake you off and forces you to think.
Guai a chi ci tocca (Trouble for those who touch us) was named in response to a police attack on a peaceful student demonstration in Naples in 1994. The police singled out Salvatore Franco, a student associated with the centro Officina 99, chasing him in a speeding patrol car and beating him so brutally that he ended up in the hospital with his leg broken in seven places.
