Camilla was born in 1973 in Cuggiono, a town in the province of Milano, Lombardia. She began studying piano at the age of 10 and was the lead singer of a local grouop at 16 years old.
By the time she was 18, Camilla was singing in bars and clubs, while at the same time she sang in a chorus whose repertoire included classical music and gospel. She was soon to discover R&B and began singing in another group.
While studying recording for publicity, Camilla met Michele Violante, who became her producer. Her first single was "Non C'è Ragione" with MC Paolo Martella of Quartiere Latino. She performed at the San Remo Festival in 1996 and 1997.
In 1999, she perfromed on Irene La Medica's CD Soulista on the song "Dimmi come fai" along with Jasmine from Sottotono.
