Founded 1995, DLH Posse is the only Hip Hop crew that raps in Friulian, as well as Italian. DLH released a debut demo called "Cerce chist" (Taste This!) in 1997. In the winter of 2000, the EP Made in Friûl introduced the group's album Hip Hop instes.
The MCs include Passion, one of the group's founders, and Tubet. The group's DJs are DJ Pl whose specialty is "surgically-precise scratches" and Nza who "busts out stylish samples off dusty records." Gava, the group's other founder, Lolly, and Mick are break dancers. C-Sal, winner of the 1996 "Best Friulian Musician Award," programs and plays most of the instruments.
According to C-Sal, DLH combines "heavy beats, 1950s Italian samples, social awareness, odd rhyming, extra beat extravaganza, and intricate musical scores. Not the usual 'take-one-loop-and-make-it-last-till-your-ears-bleed-and-your-brain-melts' posse."
