Gopher started his Hip Hop career in Bologna where he joined Isola Posse All Stars in their first stage appearances and later was part of the original Sangue Misto line-up.
When he returned to his home Lecce, Gopher joined the Sud Sound System as a singer and drummer for five years.
His 2000 release Lu Servu De Diu on the Ritmo Vitale label features DeeMo, Deda, Gruff, Dre Love and Soul Boy, Don Rico, DJ Trinketto, Terron Fabio and Treble from the Sud Sound System, and DJ Skizo and DJ Inesha of Alien Army.
The CD's title, in the dialect of the Salento region, can be translated as "It's fallen from the sky," and is used to describe something that leaves a powerful impression.
