La Madonna Nera

I curated a traveling exhibition entitled "'Evviva La Madonna Nera!': Italian American Devotion to the Black Madonna." Designed by visual artist B. Amore for the Calandra Institute, the exhibit presents the chnaging devotion to the black Madonna in Italy and among Italian Americans in a collage-like fashion.

The exhibit consists of three triptychs:

• La Madonna Nera in Italy and Europe
  
• La Madonna Nera in the New World
  
• La Madonna Nera Rediscovered

This exhibit is available for free to interested individuals and groups. They will only have to pay for the shipping costs. Check out the Calandra site for additional information.
