La Madonna Nera
There has been much interest and research on the Black Madonna. I've focused on the Italian American connection, currating an exhibition and publishing an article on a long lost festa on East 13th Street, Manhattan. In recent years, a new generation of Italian Americans have been meeting at the New York site of an old immigrant chapel/social club, now a bar.
