Phase I — the mockup
many presepi place the nativity in a cave, not a manger, so i wanted to give it a try. i started collecting cobble stones and rocks as early as January. it took awhile to get the right combination. the flat stones on from the beach at Montauk. here i did a layout of the cave to get a sense of what i wanted.
