Phase I — the city on the hill
don't tell anyone but that city on the hill is actually a partial rendering of the Greek Orthodox monasteries at Mount Athos from Volume 4 (Christianity and Byzantium), minus some Byzantine architectural elements. hey, it looked "right" and it was easy to draw.
